Telehealth Training Program Recruiting Learners
Develop Your Skills by Participating in this Live,
Online Interactive Opportunity

SDPA is pleased to offer members the opportunity to participate in a live, online simulated educational telehealth training program. The Standardized Patient Education Program is conducted by HealthCourse, an educational technology firm that improves patient outcomes through innovative approaches to learning.
HealthCourse is offering 180 real-time, simulated digital telehealth scenario sessions on a first come, first serve basis. The sessions last about 20 minutes, and all participants receive a $25 gift card after completing the session and the feedback form (gift cards will be emailed). Participation is limited to one session per person.
The sessions are designed in a role-playing format complete with immediate verbal feedback from the standardized patient and a scorecard from the trained observer. Participants will receive hands-on practice in managing patients in a telehealth setting, addressing clinical skills, telehealth etiquette and counseling skills.
Clinicians may schedule a session at a convenient time including early morning, nights, and weekends. Participants will receive introductory information about their patient. Schedule your session here.

Here’s a sample scenario:
The patient is Jessica, a 9-year-old girl who is in third grade. You will be speaking with the patient's mother - June Keene. Jessica has been a patient in your practice since she was diagnosed with atopic dermatitis when she was 4 years old. She is experiencing a flare of her atopic dermatitis that includes visible lesions across her chest, neck, forehead, and cheeks, which is causing her considerable itching and stress.
Outcomes and Data
HealthCourse provides its funder summary data reports regarding the scorecards with no association to learners, credentials or organizations. Any further dissemination of the data associated with SDPA sessions (i.e., posters, manuscripts, conference sessions) will be conducted collaboratively with materials reviewed and approved by both parties before submission.
