Advocacy Agenda

SDPA 2025 Advocacy

The Society of Dermatology Physician Associates aims to promote a bright future for DermPAs™ by advocating for patient-centered polices at the federal, state, and health plan level.

Through membership engagement and stakeholder activation, SDPA advocates on a variety of issues related to PA practice, timely and appropriate access to care, and overall skin health. Our advocacy agenda can be laid out into three strategic pillars: Federal, State, and Health Plan. Read our Advocacy Priorities for each of our strategic pillars on the pages linked below.

Why Advocacy Matters

Advocacy is more than policy—it’s about protecting the patient-provider relationship and ensuring access to quality dermatologic care.

DermPAs face growing challenges: limited access for patients, restrictive practice laws, and reimbursement gaps. These issues directly impact outcomes, and they require action.

Your voice, grounded in real-world care, has the power to influence meaningful change. Policymakers want to hear from you, and SDPA is here to help you speak up.

Join the movement. Shape the future. Advocate now.
