A new era of dermatology education—built for PAs, powered by SDPA.
SDPA Diplomate: The Legacy of Excellence is a dynamic, all-encompassing online training program designed exclusively for PAs and available to all SDPA members. This reimagined experience builds upon the trusted foundation of the original Diplomate Fellowship™, now elevated with enhanced content, upgraded technology, and a format designed for real-world application.
Gone are the days of passive learning. This next-generation program transforms your education journey with interactive clinical scenarios, demo videos, audio clips, knowledge checks, and customizable module outlines—all created to keep you engaged and ready for clinical impact.
Grounded in the highly respected Dermatology Essentials (1st or 2nd Edition) by Bolognia et al., each module has been peer-reviewed by dermatology experts from the SDPA Board, Committees, and volunteer leaders to ensure clinical accuracy and educational excellence.
With 54 hours of AAPA-accredited Category 1 CME spread across 18 powerful modules, SDPA Diplomate empowers you to build mastery—on your schedule, at your pace, and on any device.
This is more than a program. It’s your next professional milestone. Welcome to The Legacy of Excellence.

I have already completed the Diplomate Fellowship™/DLI. Does this affect my Diplomate status?
Not at all! Your Diplomate status remains valid. No action is required. You are still recognized as part of the Diplomate community.
I purchased the previous Diplomate Fellowship™ but have not completed it. What are my options?
You have three options from here. You may choose one of the following:
- Complete the previous Diplomate Fellowship™ program within one year of Module A’s release, which is planned for June 2025. This means you have until June 2026 to complete the program.
- If you have already started some of the previous Diplomate Fellowship™ modules, you may transition to the new SDPA Diplomate at 50% off the bundle or individual modules. To request this, contact us at education@dermpa.org.
- Request a refund. If you purchased a module and have not started, you may request a refund to purchase the new module. To request this, contact us at education@dermpa.org.
Note that these options cannot be combined.
