Against the historic backdrop of our nation’s capital, DermPAs™ from across the country gathered to advocate for the future of dermatologic care and spotlight the indispensable role of PAs in patient access, affordability, and outcomes.
The day kicked off with the SDPA Policy Forum, where members were briefed on key federal legislation, best practices for legislative meetings, and the current policy landscape impacting dermatology. This prep session empowered participants with the tools, language, and confidence needed to walk into their Hill meetings fully informed and ready to engage.
From there, DermPAs™ headed to the Capitol to meet face-to-face with legislators and their staff. They shared patient stories, emphasized the value PAs bring to dermatologic care, and called for continued support of legislation that enhances access to care, modernizes reimbursement models, and protects PA practice autonomy.
That evening, SDPA hosted a vibrant Advocacy Reception to celebrate the day's impact and recognize those leading the charge for policy progress. Leaders, members, and partners came together to toast our shared mission, deepen connections, and commit to keeping advocacy at the heart of our profession.
Thank you to all who participated in Hill Day. Your presence, passion, and persistence are helping shape the future of dermatology—one meeting, one bill, and one story at a time.
