Bio

Takeia Horton, PA-C, MPH, is a physician assistant specializing in dermatology with a decade of clinical experience, including seven years in primary care and the last three focused on dermatologic care. She previously worked in primary care with the National Health Service Corps providing healthcare to underserved communities with limited access and limited resources before making the switch to dermatology and clinical leadership.

Her professional passions include skin of color dermatology, precepting, mentoring, and advancing executive leadership for APPs. She currently serves on the leadership team of the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants organization and has been an active committee member with the Society of Dermatology PAs. Her commitment to service and mentorship was further recognized during her tenure as an NCCPA Ambassador from 2021 to 2023. She continues to work to combine her passions for dermatology, leadership and health disparities.
