Another year passes quickly, reminding me of my father’s words as I balance family, postpartum recovery, turning 40, and leading SDPA through growth and change. As we enter 2023, I challenge us all to pursue daily progress, keeping our mission and profession at the forefront throughout the year.
As the SDPA Miami meeting approaches, excitement and deep gratitude fill the air, reminding us to pause and appreciate the blessings in our lives and profession. This season and event highlight the dedication of our leaders, staff, volunteers, industry partners, and families who make it possible to serve and grow together.
PA Week reminds us how important recognition and appreciation are for motivation and morale in our demanding profession. While burnout is real, taking time to acknowledge each other’s hard work helps us refill our cups and continue serving with pride.
Fall means football season in Alabama, a time of deep loyalty, excitement, and community. Like football, medicine demands teamwork, discipline, perseverance, goal-setting, and learning from wins and losses to serve others at our best.
