President's Column | March 2026

March always feels like that in‑between month—still winter on the calendar, but you can almost feel everything starting to wake up again. Here in Wisconsin, we’re still dealing with the dry air, the cold wind, and that classic “winter itch” that every DermPA knows all too well. But even with the snow hanging on, there’s a gentle shift in the air. The mornings feel a little brighter, the days stretch just a bit longer, and there’s a quiet sense of renewal that’s hard to ignore.

What a whirlwind of learning and fun. DermPAs™ from across the country came together in the vibrant music city of Nashville for the 21st annual SDPA fall conference, where we celebrated our DermPA™ members, professional growth, and camaraderie.

2023 - Joe Monroe Lifetime Achievement Award

Travis Hayden completed his undergraduate studies in 1996 at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York, where today he serves as a PA educator.

2023 - Educator of the Year Award

Danielle has served as a DermPA™ for nearly 10 years, including serving as a preceptor for multiple dermatology clerkships before formally entering PA education.

2023 - Service Award

Pamela has been a practicing PA for 20 years, including 10 years with the Veterans Affairs of North Texas, where she has specialized in dermatology since 2015.

2023 - New DermPA™ of the Year Award

Since joining Apex Dermatology and Skin Center in Cleveland, Ohio, DiLoreto has already made a huge impact on her practice and her patients through her efforts to expand access to care in the area.

2023 - DermPA™ of the Year Award

Kim serves as a dermatology PA and a PA educator at the Oregon Health & Science University, where she has forged new paths and broken-down barriers for PAs.
