Travis Hayden, MPAS, PA-C, Winner of 2023 Joe Monroe Lifetime Achievement Award
Travis Hayden completed his undergraduate studies in 1996 at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York, where today he serves as a PA educator. After receiving his formal PA education through the U.S. Navy, he served as an active-duty Medical Service Corps Officer until 2003.
Since then, he has worked as a PA specializing in dermatology in a variety of clinical settings.He has continuously served the DermPA profession in various SDPA volunteer roles since 2005, including serving on the boards of SDPA and DPAF. His most remarkable achievement came in 2007 when he created the Journal of Dermatology for Physician Assistants (JDPA). By establishing the journal, he created new avenues for DermPAs to be published and for the profession to be recognized in dermatology research.
He has demonstrated outstanding dedication throughout his lifetime, including service to the Navy, his students, his patients, and especially to the DermPA™ profession, which continues to this day
