Dear Colleagues,
 

THIS IS IT!  It's time for the unveiling of the SDPA Strategic Plan and, even more importantly, implementing these goals to continue to lead the SDPA to higher levels of success.  The new leadership team has already created a strong momentum to help shape the future of Derm PAs. I could not be any more proud of the returning leaders and all of the fresh faces that have taken on this responsibility to guide Derm PAs from all aspects of their careers into a new era.

However, growing by leaps and bounds cannot be achieved alone; it takes a team of dedicated volunteers, an amazing staff, and, of course, all 4K plus members that define the organization.  Your voice matters, and I strongly encourage you to reach out, make a difference, and contribute to the only Derm PA organization that gives back to you.  We are here to listen to your ideas and implement your thoughts.  So, I ask you—please give me one wish you want to see happen within our profession. Then, think about it and reach out to me personally or stop me at a conference to continue the conversation.
 
Being a volunteer leader allows one to reflect and take an introspective look at what you really stand for—a great journey for self-development. Of course, there will be setbacks and innovative, forward bounces, disagreements, and team developments, but in the end, all is necessary to move our profession forward.

As your President, I am honored to lead the diverse and talented individuals this leadership year.  More importantly, I am thrilled by all the challenges essential to the role and look forward to the opportunities it presents for all Derm PAs.  #inyourcorner
