President's Message | January 2021

Dear Colleagues -

Welcome to 2021! January has traditionally been a month where we chart a new adventure or create new goals for our lives. And yes, while there is nothing truly unique about January 1, psychologically we feel new vigor as we dream about the opportunities ahead.

Here at the SDPA, we know that you----our members continue to serve on the frontlines in your communities. We know that the pressures of daily clinical practice, combined with personal stressors, create a challenging climate to navigate. Add to that new E/M coding changes that you’ve had to learn overnight and you can begin to feel overwhelmed---to say the least. In order to assist you in learning the new coding changes and how they will impact your daily billing practices, the SDPA is bringing you a two-part coding course. Part One will summarize what you need to know and Part Twowill be spent answering your burning questions. I hope you will join us for both sessions. Remember that whenever you invest in your education and professional development, you will always gain more in the long run than what you initially invested.

In closing, as we start off this New Year, I want to thank you for your resilience. Your patients, your communities and I applaud you. The SDPA looks forward to continuing to add value to your daily practice, stay tuned for new distance education offerings on our learning center platform.

Warm Regards,

Archana Sangha, MMS, PA-C
