President's Message | December 2019

Dear Colleagues -

Happy Holidays!  ‘Tis the season for hectic times in our clinics AND our social lives.  That can make it hard to remember what the holidays are all about - being thankful for our families and friends, and for all the good in our lives.  It is important to take time to be appreciative of the friendships, relationships, and love that surrounds each of us every day.

I’m thankful for so much in my life, primarily my family and the wonderful derm practice where I love going to work every day.  I am also grateful to have been such an integral part of the SDPA’s 25th anniversary celebration this past year.  The culmination of our 25th year was the recent 17th Annual Fall Dermatology Conference.  What a send-off!  The conference in Scottsdale boasted the highest event attendance to date for the SDPA.  It was so exciting, and I was very proud to have been a part of it.  If you were able to make the trip to Arizona, I truly hope you had as wonderful an experience as I did.  I am thankful I had the opportunity to foster friendships with former colleagues and create new ones.  But I am most thankful to the SDPA volunteer leaders and staff for their time they dedicate to better our profession.

I wish each and every SDPA member the warmest holiday wishes, and I thank you for your continued support as a valued member of the SDPA!

Sincerely,

Gina D. Mangin, MPAS, PA-C

SDPA President
