Nominate a Member for SDPA Award

Nominations Now Closed!

The Society of Dermatology Physician Associates is excited to present the fourth Annual SDPA Awards program to recognize members for outstanding achievements in clinical practice and patient outcomes, volunteer work, education and more. This program presents a unique opportunity to highlight the impact so many of SDPA's amazing PA members have every day on their patients, colleagues, and communities. The awards will be presented during the SDPA annual membership meeting at our 23rd Annual SDPA Fall Dermatology Conference in San Antonio, Nov. 5-9, 2025.

In addition to receiving a special recognition award, winners will receive a gift card and complimentary travel with one hotel night to the conference.

SDPA PA members in the Fellow, Diplomate, or Associate categories are eligible for nomination (see more details below). Both members and non-members can nominate an individual who is an SDPA member. Members may also nominate themselves.

Our past distinguished award winners can be viewed here.

Nominations for this year's awards closed on TUESDAY, AUGUST 27th at 11:59 PM ET.

Please Note the Program's Terms:

Submissions should include all required fields and attachments in order to be considered. Required materials include a written description of no more than 500 words discussing why the nominee deserves the award, a CV, headshot, and 1-2 letters of recommendation (maximum one page each). Applications may also include up to two optional supporting documents.

A maximum of two nominations and/or two letters of recommendation will be considered per nominee. Individuals may only be nominated in one category per year. If an individual is nominated in more than one category or receives more than the maximum number of nominations, they will be contacted and given the opportunity to select which nominations should be considered. The same individual cannot win the same award twice within 5 years, but they can be nominated and selected in different categories with no other limitation. The Lifetime award can only be awarded once per individual.

Fellow (including Diplomate) and Associate SDPA members are eligible to be nominated. Some awards may specifically apply to Dermatology PAs only as noted in their descriptions. Currently the Lifetime, New DermPA and DermPA of the Year awards are Fellow-only, whereas Educator and Service awards are open to both Fellows and Associates who meet the criteria. A nominated preceptor for the Educator/Preceptor award should be a Fellow member practicing dermatology.

The SDPA Membership Committee will select the winners and notify them in September.

SDPA Leaders are not eligible to be nominated, but can nominate someone else. Committee volunteer members can be nominated. JDPA and DPAF Board leaders and members will be treated as ineligible committee chairs and eligible committee members, respectively.
