SDPA Affiliate Chapters & State Liaisons

The SDPA has a vibrant and active network of affiliate chapters. Presently we have 18 state chapters spread out across the United States and three State Liaisons. An SDPA affiliate chapter is an independent state dermatology physician assistant (PA) organization. Affiliate chapters provide valuable information and insight about the dermatology specialty in their state and to SDPA membership and leadership. Affiliate chapters are not chartered, although they remain an integral part of the SDPA framework and ensure the Society has the maximum amount of knowledge and understanding of issues effecting dermatology PAs in each state. Most importantly, our affiliate chapters strengthen the PA profession through their connections to their medical and professional counterparts in each respective state. These relationships allow affiliate chapters to partner with the SDPA to effectively address challenges such as reimbursement, clinical practice, and regulation.

A SDPA state liaison’s role is to represent the state in which the liaison resides in. The liaison is the person that facilitates the communication and coordination of their State’s activities between the two organizations (state and SDPA).  The goal is to achieve the best utilization of resources and services of one organization by another. Click here to see a list of current state liaisons.

Each of our Affiliate Chapters are independent organizations with their own Board of Directors, programs, and activities. Joining your state affiliate chapter in addition to the SDPA is a great way to network with other dermatology professionals from your state. SDPA members are welcome to join more than one chapter. The membership dues for each chapter vary and are independently determined by chapter leadership. Use the links below to access the website for the chapter you wish to join to learn more about them and find out how to become a member of their organization.

Interested in starting an SDPA Affiliate Chapter or becoming a State Liaison?
